3/31 NCAA Reflection

What have you learned by competing in our class NCAA basketball competition? Had you filled out a bracket prior to this class?  Did you follow any of the games during the tournament out of curiosity?  What have you learned about Google Docs & Sheets by creating your bracket & spreadsheet with them?

The bracket we filled out in class was the second one i filled out, I filled on out for the entire tournament for a family competition. My family has a competition every year and we all put in $5 and whoever wins gets the money. I only followed the games that KU played because I'm a KU fan, and I didn't really follow any other games. By using Google docs I learned that it is really easy to create similar things like a bracket and that it's really easy to access and share with others. I also learned that Google Sheets is really similar to Excel and the way it does things.

3/30/17 New Movies

I never get out anymore & need ideas for great some movies or a TV Series to watch in my free time. What is the best movie(s) you have seen in the past year.  Is there a TV Series that I just HAVE to see? What is the genre of the movie(s) you are recommending (I don't like horror...). Convince me that your movie(s) and/or TV Series suggestions are ones that I should see immediately, but don't give the plot away.  GO! :-)

I just recently started watching Vampire Diaries and I think that it is a really good show that has an exciting plot and interesting characters. I think that Vampire Diaries is a good show because the story is very original and entertaining to watch and I like how the characters are developed really well. would definitely recommend this show, but probably to just girls because their is romance in the series. I would also recommend Grey's Anatomy because it is a really cool and engaging show that has very likable characters and its a very original series that I enjoy watching a lot. It is believable but it still has a lot that happens which keeps the story interesting and never boring.

3/21 Spring Break

Tell me all about your spring break!  What did you do (not do), where did you go (not go), and how did you spend your week off.  Include at least 2 pictures!!

Over spring break I stayed in Kansas and spent time with my family. I went to lunch with my great aunt and shopping with my grandparents. I also went out a lot with my parents and sister. I also had soccer practice over the break so I went to those. I exercised a little bit and went to the gym too. I went to the Sporting KC game and they won, and that was really fun because we went up their really early and we bought a couch and then did some shopping at the legends, and ate dinner their. And Sporting KC won and after we got to go down into the tunnel with all the players. Overall I had a really good spring break because even though I didn't go anywhere it was really nice to not have school and do whatever I wanted for a little while.

3/02/17 Infographic Peer Feedback

Provide me with a quick overview of the student Infographics you viewed for this assignment.  In your reflection to me, provide the student name & 1-2 things you liked/learned by looking at their infographic. Finally, did you enjoy this project?

Zach O- I liked how the colors coordinated with the soda, and I learned that Pepsi had more calories.
Jackson H- I liked all the pictures and I learned that Lincolns have the highest customer satisfaction.
Grace E- I like the color and organizastion, and I learned that goggles normally cost about $11.
Maddie B- I liked all the colors and how proffessional it looked, and I learned that on average Americans consume 3600 calories per day.
Clayton G- I liked the colors, and I learned that K-State has a 9-4 record.
Brandon N- I liked the colors and how informative it was, I learned that it is very easy and simple to make an infographic.

I enjoyed this project because it allowed us to be creative and research whatever we wanted. It was interesting to see what everyone came up with.
